Solstice Mirror is an app that offers a streamlined experience for sharing content in meeting and learning spaces, with a straightforward, no-frills approach to sharing on a Solstice-enabled display. It’s ideal for quick meetups, impromptu brainstorming sessions, and educational environments where simplicity is key.

The app allows you to quickly share content from your phone or tablet to a Solstice display. It allows screen mirroring but does not let you control the display or play audio over the connection.

System requirements for Solstice Mirror are:

Mobile device: Android version 13 or higher.

To support Solstice Mirror connections after April 2026, Solstice Pods must be running version 6.1.3, 6.2.4, or 6.3.1 or higher, which includes a new Mersive SSL Certificate. Solstice Mirror uses the same WebRTC approach as the website share.mersive.com.

How to Share Content Using Solstice Mirror

Download the app from Google Play.
Ensure you are connected to a network listed on the display’s Welcome Screen or a local network that the display is also connected to.
Open the app and enter the IP address of the Solstice display. The address is in the top right corner of the display's Welcome Screen. Tap Connect.
When prompted, enter the Screen Key that appears on the display.
Tap Mirror screen. A privacy statement appears.
Tap Start now to begin sharing.
When you are done sharing, tap Stop Mirroring.
Note
After you stop sharing to the display, you could experience loss of connection to the display after 1 minute. If this happens, tap Reconnect to refresh the connection.
To disconnect from the Solstice display, tap Disconnect.

Troubleshooting: "Having trouble connecting?" message in Solstice Mirror

When attempting to connect to a Pod using Solstice Mirror, you could experience a connection delay and may see a "Having trouble connecting?" message. There are several possible causes for this issue. Use the following troubleshooting table to find and correct the problem:

Possible Cause	Solution
The pod is not running the required version of Solstice.	Update the Pod to Solstice version 6.1.3, 6.2.4, or 6.3.1 or higher.
The pod and the mobile device are not on the same network.	Change the network connection. Test by entering the Pod’s IP address into a web browser running on the mobile device. If the Welcome screen appears, the network connection is correct.
Web Sharing or Browser Sharing is not enabled on the Pod.	Enable Web Sharing through Solstice Cloud. Enable Browser Sharing through Solstice Dashboard.
The Pod is showing FQDN rather than the IP address.	The mobile device has auto-capitalized the first letter of the Pod address. Re-type the address into the app interface in lowercase.
The network router the Pod is connected to is using the DNS rebinding protection security feature set.	Add “mersivepod.app” as an exception in the DNS rebinding protection feature on the network router.
